    The historic St. Andrews Lock and Dam is over 100 years old and is located in the heart of Lockport, Manitoba. The dam is a physical barrier that regulates water levels and slows upstream fish movement. It is one of the most heavily fished areas of Manitoba and has produced some real giants

    Catfishing on the Red River can be a great family activity. Inexpensive equipment and plentiful shore access makes it an ideal activity for the kids with a high likely hood of success. Several local boat launches offer easy river access and local guides are available for daily fishing charters for a day of fun!

    Monsters dwell in the mighty Red. Late summer/early fall can be the best time of the year to catch a  fish of a lifetime as the catfish  fatten up for winter. Look at this 39 inch monster caught in October. All catfish over 24 inches must be released. Let em’ go, Let em’ grow!

Our stretch of Red River is world famous for channel catfish. Flowing north into Manitoba the Red River passes through Winnipeg, Lockport, and Selkirk, Manitoba as it winds it way to Lake Winnipeg.
